A technique thousands of years old can be used to give everyday objects a new splendour. The book presents the possibility of making mosaics with tesserae of different materials, such as paper, shells, glass or tiles, or imitating them with paper or paints of different colours. This book aims to familiarise readers with two basic techniques: the direct and the indirect method of laying. In addition, it also presents the possibility of making mosaic-like works with paints and paper. With clear instructions on how to do the work, it describes how to embellish frames, key cabinets, door signs and much more. Let yourself be enchanted by the art of mosaics and enjoy the different shapes and colours
