This third part of Images of Old Madrid brings together a documentary collection of the capital from the 1940s to the 1960s by a magnificent photographer who worked for many years in Madrid: MartĆn Santos Yubero.
Santos Yubero (Madrid, 1903-1992), as we can see in this selection of his photographs, was an exceptional graphic chronicler.
He worked for major newspapers such as El Imparcial, La Nación and Ya, as well as the weekly DĆgame.
In his legacy we can see how he captured the essence of his city, everyday life, the tiniest detail of what was happening in the street, on the pavements and in doorways, at market stalls and bus stops.
