Matt smoothing medium Liquitex additive 473ml

• Offers a number of specific benefits in acrylic paint pour applications.

  1. Uniform pouring of puddles and acrylic sheets: This medium facilitates the creation of uniform pours of puddles and acrylic skins. It provides a suitable consistency for the paint to flow effortlessly and distribute evenly, resulting in smooth, uniform effects.

  2. Smooth, crack-free, bubble-free surface: The pouring medium helps to achieve a smooth, blemish-free surface on your pours. It helps prevent the formation of unwanted cracks and bubbles, ensuring a more professional finish.

  3. High gloss finish and wet look: Once the paint dries, the pouring medium provides a high gloss finish with a wet look. This highlights the colours and adds visual depth to your artwork.

  4. Reducing the viscosity of paints: This medium helps to reduce the viscosity of heavier acrylic paints, making them more fluid and easier to work with. This is especially useful if you want to achieve smoother, more fluid pouring effects.

  5. Colour extension and acrylic stability: The pouring medium helps to extend the colour without compromising the stability of the acrylic. This means that your colours will remain vivid and durable over time.

  6. Maintaining opacity and adhesion: Despite reducing viscosity, this medium maintains colour opacity and paint adhesion. It does not compromise archival quality and ensures that your artwork maintains its durability and quality over time.
