Distress Oxide
Distress Oxide inks by Tim Holtz Ink have been a revolution in the craft world. Since they entered the market, Distress Oxide inks have become a top favorite, thanks to their versatility and the wide range of applications they offer in scrapbooking and other crafts.
More about Oxide inksTheir unique formulation fusing dye and pigment allows for spectacular oxidized effects when they react with water.
In addition, thanks to the pigment, they are opaque, so they show up perfectly on dark surfaces.
Distress Oxide Ink pads have a size of 2"x2", with a felt pad. Due to their special composition, it is not possible to make them in a mini 1"x1" size like Distress Ink.
Distress Oxide Ink
Ranger Distress Oxide Ink can be used for stamping, creating backgrounds, or even as watercolors by adding water. Once dry, as the pigment remains on the surface of the paper, they will react again if sprayed with water.
One of the advantages of these inks is that they blend very well, so if we use basic tools like rounded ink applicators or brushes to create gradients, we can create beautiful backgrounds, even with stencils or templates.
Distress Oxide ink also serves as an aging ink, creating aged effects and giving a vintage style to our projects. And, as slow-drying inks, they are also suitable for doing embossing.
In this video you can see them in detail and learn the basic techniques for using them.
Distress Oxide Inks
Distress Oxide inks have a wide variety of colors, and new colors are released every so often, all with very original names.
You can choose between individual colors or distress oxide pad kits. In addition, you also have distress oxide reinkers available, to refill your pads or use them as liquid ink. And if you prefer to experiment a little more, we have Craftelier Distress Oxide in spray format.
Once you try Distress Oxide you won't be able to live without them!
