Wooden box of 12 Sennelier extra fine oil colour sticks

• In 1949, the painter Henri Goetz asked Henri Sennelier to develop a new material for his friend Pablo Picasso who was looking for a coloured wax chalk. The "Sennelier Oil Pastel" was born out of this collaboration.
• This evolution is the fruit of a long-lasting collaboration with European and North American painters who worked with our company to develop a palette of shades of exceptional character.
• Sennelier oil pastel is a product that reuses the components used in all Sennelier colours: high quality pigments, a very pure synthetic binder and a mineral wax. The balance of this mixture gives Sennelier oil pastels a peculiar unctuousness and a creamy texture that allows great freedom of pictorial expression.
• Sennelier oil pastels have an exceptional pigment concentration which gives them a great colouring and covering power, a great vividness of tones and a very good lightfastness (except for metallic and fluorescent inks).
• These sticks are easily applied on a variety of traditional substrates such as canvas, canvas boards, prepared panels or painting papers.
• Ideal for thin layers (up to 1 mm), they can also be thinned with turpentine for brush application.
• They combine perfectly with classic oil paints for varied and creative effects.
