Some weeks ago we talked about this new trend, the Bullet Journal, and today, we’re ready to talk about it again. But today it's time to talk about how to decorate our bullet journal and make them our own.

One of the things we like the most about the Bullet Journal is the freedom it gives us. They allow us so much freedom, there’s no calendar, nor default spaces… In a Bullet Journal you are the one choosing the important things, what do you want to write down and how. There are no rules.

That’s why we want to give you a bunch of ideas to customize your Bullet Journal, because we know that it can be a little difficult at first, especially if it's the first time you use a Bullet Journal as a planner. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know to draw or if you don’t have a special art, just relax and let your creativity flow. At the end of the day, your Bullet Journal is something that you, and only you, are going to use, so it doesn’t have to be perfect. What would be perfect is for the Bullet Journal to adapt to you and be a reflection of your personality.

Heading

The headlines are the first things you can work on. Just think about what are your needs and start organizing your agenda by days, weeks, months… To do this, you can work with calligraphy either with ink or dip pens, watercolours or markers; you can even make small drawings or decorations to go along with the theme or use some stamps, washi-tape or alphabet thickers.

Important dates

Nowadays we have social networks to remind us of the important dates, such as birthdays, but if you really want to not forget anything, you must dedicate a few pages of your Bullet Journal to the dates you can't forget. Write down the really important dates and decorate these pages as you like.

Resolutions

Another option to write down in your Bullet Journal is a list of resolutions. Once you know what are your goals (whether they are daily, weekly or monthly goals) and you write them down, it’s easier to be aware of them to achieve them. So, if you are one of those who want to do a lot of things and have a lot of projects, take your markers and start making your list. Let’s complete our goals! You’ll see how pleasant is to cross off your goals one by one!

Shopping list or menu

This is another good option to have in our Bullet Journal, a page to organize our shopping list and our weekly menus. This is especially useful if you’re a very busy person or if you are under some diet control. Moreover, as the Bullet Journal is an object always at our reach, it can be very practical when we go shopping.

Good Habits Chart

If you practice some sport or do some exercise, you can also make your own exercise chart. It can be great to organize your training days, the types of exercises you’re doing and to record your physical evolution. It will be great to help you organize and, especially, to surpass oneself.

Books and films list

Another great idea to make in our Bullet Journal is to write down the films and books we’ve read. We can make a list with different data you find useful, as the date, and you can add a little summary or review of them. Besides, you can even decorate it with the cinema ticket, the film poster or the book cover and write down your favourite quotes from it.

Our diary

As the Bullet Journal is not a proper planner or agenda, we can keep some pages of it to write there and thus, create our own journal or diary. You can write notes for you, write down some ideas, jot down some inspirations for your next scrap project, etc. You can also use it as travel diaries and everything that this entails: your visits, hotels, restaurants, you can paste your tickets and receipts, some photos…

Inspo and sketches

In addition to your diary, you can dedicate some pages to make some inspiration boards of any kind you like: fashion, beauty, travel, scrap, craft, etc. You can write down quotes, ideas or paste some magazine images you’ve liked and make a collage out of them.

If you don’t like to write a lit, but you do drawing, don’t give up on the pleasure of having some pages of Bullet Journal to make some sketches and illustrations. It’s practical because due to the size, you can always carry your Bullet Journal around and draw whatever you like, whenever you like.
