The products we decide we want to make in our own brand must follow three rules: they have to be basic, versatile and therefore, very useful products. One of these products we've been working for months was a Bookbinding Ruler Set. This ruler set will allow us to bind in a very easy way, making us save a lot of time.
For the scraper beginners, this will be very useful, as it makes the work a LOT easier. On the other side, the experts who have been binding for years will save a lot of time as they won't have to measure everything all the time. To sum up, these rules are very, very useful and we're like crazy for them, but, well, what are WE supposed to say? Let's just explain what these rules are capable of and judge for yourselves :)

What does the set include?
We've made up a set with four high-quality rules because we know these are the kind of tools that you use over and over again, so they need to be resistant. This kit has all the necessary materials to make any kind of bind and we can use it to put the paper over the covers, to make the album structure or bone, etc...- L shape ruler:Ā with a 2 cm width, itāll help you place the cardboards covers and respect the margins when youāll cover them.

T square: itāll help you to align the covers and album spine. Moreover, it'll indicate the exact distance to facilitate the folding.

Separation guide: with two positions; one to separate the cardboards by 2 mm and another to separate them by 1,5 mm. Itāll keep the same distance between the cardboards and your album will fold perfectly.

Corner miter tool: it'll allow you ti cut the right amount of paper in the corners, to make the perfect angle to cover the cardboard.
- As if it wasn't enough, we've decided to add a little case to have the four rules always in place. That way, you can always have these set at hand and you can carry it everywhere. And of course, they'll always be protected inside.
How do they bookbinding work?
Step 1: L shape ruler
This rule, with two centimetres width, is the perfect rule to help us make the cover of our projects and to maintain the right width in the edges to make professional bookbinding. Just place the cardboard over the scrapbooking paper you've chosen, place the rule over the edge of the cardboard and make some marks with a pencil. If you want to hurry up things, you can directly stick the cardboard to the paper, always maintaining the distance the rules indicate you.
Step 2: T square
Use the T square to align the covers and the spine of your album without measure everything a hundred times. Just place the T square between the covers and the spine, as we see on the photograph below. The superior part of the rule will make the cardboards to be placed at the exact same position. You just have to stick the cardboard to the paper without removing the T square.Step 3: separation guide
Our separation guide has two different positions,2 mm or 1,5 mm, depending on the cardboard we're using. Just place the separation guide between the covers and the spine to maintain the same distance between all of them. Stick the album covers maintaining this distance and remove them.
Step 4: corner miter tool
This is the perfect tool to cut the paper excess from the corners before gluing the papers to the cardboard. This way, you'll never cut too much, something very difficult to fix, neither you'll leave to much paper, which sometimes makes the corners of your albums seem not as professional as you wish to. The corner miter tool will cut the exact amount of paper to make the perfect bookbinding. In this final step, you just have to place your rule over the corner of the cardboard, like we're doing in the image below, and mark with a pencil to cut it later or, if you prefer, you can cut the excess of paper right away, since the high resistance of the rules.
This way, so easy, you can make a beautiful binding for your albums or notebooks. This Bookbinding ruler set would be the end of spending too much time making measurements... and say goodbye too to waste your beautiful papers, with this set is impossible to make a mistake!
