Do you know Heidi Swapp's tool? The MINC is a foil applicator to add foil designs wherever you want, in the colour you like. All you need is the MINC, some foil rolls, and a laser printer (and if you don't have one, you can go to a copy shop).
To make wedding cards or party decorations, and to write a beautiful title, there are so many possibilities! If you like these metallic finishes, you won't stop using this machine to customize everything you get your hands on. One of the things we like the most about the MINC is the possibility of drawing freehand or emulating a brush stroke, turning it into a foil decoration. Working with it is very easy. You can draw the design you want, make a photocopy and place it in your MINC. You can see it in the example below these lines, "Vive y sƩ feliz", Amy Tangerine's well-known watercolour lettering converted into a photocopy and then into unique golden decoration. How does it work the Minc?
1 - Print the drawing you like on your laser printer (if you don't have one, you can go to a photocopy shop). We have used a slightly thick paper, so that it has consistency, about 200 gr, and we have cut it with scissors so that it is in the shape of a die-cut.
2 - Plug in and switch on the MINC (the on/off button is on the back).
3 - Set the temperature between 1 and 5 depending on the paper (4 for all scrap paper) and wait for the green light to flash. That means the MINC is ready.
4 - Place your design on the transfer sheet, completely covered by the foil (shiny side up!).
5 - Place the design on the opening part of the machine and the inner rollers of the MINC will do their work.
6 - Now you have your drawing with this special metallic finish!
