Posca Markers

Posca Markers

Posca paint markers are a worldwide benchmark for artists and creators. In the 1980s, graffiti artists were the first to make them an essential tool for their designs, as they could use them on virtually every surface. It was not long before studio artists discovered the qualities of these markers to use them in their artwork.

Posca

Posca is designed for everyone, for all types of art, and for any skill level. Viewing artistic creation as a universal language, every form of expression has a place and any medium to convey art is valid and exciting.

The Posca brand is part of Uni Mitsubishi Pencil, but holds its own fresh, playful, bold, vibrant, and essentially urban personality.

UNI Posca markers are water-based paint markers that can be used on almost any surface. Their ink is opaque, highly pigment-rich, and ultra-resistant to weather and the passage of time. The colors, both matte and bright, are intense, delivering spectacular results. Therefore, they are perfect markers for both our scrapbooking projects and all kinds of crafts.

Furthermore, they are available in different nib types, from 0.7 mm to 15 mm, or also with a brush tip. Likewise, you can find them individually or in practical sets. Many of these nibs are removable, reversible, or interchangeable. If the nib dries out, you can soak it in water for a few hours to use it again.

Thanks to their formulation, you can create different effects with these markers, as they are water-soluble (before they dry completely), can be blended together while still wet, or layered by painting with colors on top of another once dry.

How to use Posca Markers?

Before use, you must shake it vigorously to mix the paint thoroughly, and if it is new, press the nib several times to activate the ink flow.

Fixing your artwork depends on the surface used. On paper and cardstock, no action is required, as the fiber absorbs the paint and it becomes permanent. On terracotta, clay, glass, and porcelain, it can be baked in the oven or fixed with varnish or fixing spray. On fabric, iron on the reverse side. For all other materials, apply a varnish or fixing spray.

You can buy your Posca markers at Craftelier, where you will find the largest selection of nibs and colors. Choose yours and express yourself!
