Gesso Grey Additive Liquitex 237ml

• • Coloured primer is a product used as a base coat before applying acrylic or oil colours. It provides the necessary tooth and adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces, such as canvas, paper and wood. Here are some highlights of this type of primer:

    1. Unlike traditional white primer, coloured primer comes in different shades and is used to create coloured backgrounds before painting. This can add an interesting visual effect and contribute to the overall style and mood of the artwork.

    2. As with white primer, coloured primer provides the tooth and adhesion necessary for the paint to properly adhere to the surface. This ensures an even and durable application of subsequent colours.

    3. Coloured primer is suitable for a wide variety of substrates, including canvas, paper and wood. This makes it versatile and compatible with different types of projects and techniques.

    4. Because of its ability to provide a coloured background, coloured primer is especially useful as a base coat in the creation of murals. It helps to establish the overall tone and colour palette of the mural, facilitating the subsequent application of paint.

    5. Coloured Primer can be used undiluted for a rich, vibrant colour, or diluted up to 25% with water for a more transparent shade. This allows the colour intensity and coverage to be adjusted according to artistic needs.

    6. All coloured primer colours are mixable with each other, which means that a wide variety of coloured backgrounds can be created by combining different shades. This provides flexibility and options to achieve the desired results.
