This book aims to explain step by step how colours are classified, combined and interact on the surface of the painting, either to achieve a well-harmonised work or, on the contrary, to capture a vividly contrasting scene.
All with one purpose in mind: to master chromatic mixtures and combinations in order to get the most out of the artist's palette.
After a first section in which the materials used are presented, it then shows how to classify colours, how to mix, shade and harmonise them.
With these first basic teachings, it is now possible to tackle the exercises proposed in the third part of the book.
