Cutter and Paper Cutter
A scrapbooking paper trimmer is a basic and essential cutting tool, as it will save you a lot of time when measuring and cutting your papers. In a few seconds you can get the desired size, even from several sheets at once.
Know more about Cutting ToolsFurthermore, the cut will be much straighter than if we do it with scissors, especially if it is long. We recommend investing in a good quality paper trimmer that can last you for many years.
To achieve precision in our cuts, paper trimmers incorporate a ruler at the top. To cut, we must position the paper aligned with the top horizontal ruler at the measurement we want, and cut with the blade by sliding it down the vertical rail.
The blade can be replaced with a new one when it no longer makes a clean cut. You will find replacement blades for most paper trimmers. There are two types of blades: sliding ones, which perform the cut as a cutter would, and rotary ones, which have a circular shape.
Regarding the size of the paper trimmers, they range from small ones of 15 cm (perfect to carry wherever we want), to the largest ones of almost 40 cm.

Scrapbooking Cutters
For smaller and more precise cuts, a precision cutter or a scalpel for scrap will be very useful. With it we will achieve cutting intricate shapes or making small straight cuts with the help of the metal ruler. The \"exact\" cutter is the most used type, and we can find ergonomic models or even with a swivel blade. Like paper trimmers, replacement blades are also available.
The rotary cutter is perfect for less rigid materials, such as fabric or foil sheets.
If we want to cut thicker materials such as cardboard, a craft cutter is more convenient, with a larger and stronger blade.
Scrap Paper Trimmer and Folder
The vast majority of scrap trimmers do not only serve to cut. Some also serve to fold, as they incorporate grooves in the board to mark creases with the help of a bone folder that comes in the same paper trimmer. And others include a piece exactly the same as the blade, but which is not sharp, and marks instead of cutting. Due to this double function, this type of boards are called \"Trim & Score\".
Cutting tools for scrapbooking
A paper trimmer should not be confused with a scrapbooking guillotine. The difference lies in the fact that the latter perform the cut by lowering an arm or lever that has a blade along its entire length. They can cut thicker materials or more sheets at the same time, but they may not be as precise as a paper trimmer.
Here you can find a wide range of scrap paper trimmers, guillotines and cutters at the best price, because surely you cannot choose just one!
