• Liquid Gum Arabic is a binder for mixing with watercolour or gouache that leaves a glossy finish.
• Adding gum arabic to watercolours has three effects:
• - It delays the drying of the paint, allowing you to work a little longer or to work wet paints.
• - It makes the paint more transparent and increases the gloss.
• - Layers of gum arabic will have more depth and appear more luminous than layers of colour alone.
• How to use: Gum arabic is usually mixed into the watercolour layer, but can be added to the bottle of water if you prefer to use it throughout the paint.
• Gum arabic should not be used directly from the bottle as thick layers will crack.
• Colourless.
