El Prado dispersed Following the works of the Prado Museum around the world
A journey through the works of the Prado Museum scattered around the world, by the curator who has been following its trail for decades.
The Prado Museum does not only treasure the works displayed in its galleries. Beyond its doors, 3500 works are scattered throughout Spain and abroad, in some of our diplomatic representations around the world.
Mercedes Orihuela, who for decades has been Curator of the Prado Museum, reveals some of these works, by artists of the stature of Rubens, El Greco, Carducho and Rizi, and the beauty of many of the places that house them, such as the Paular Monastery, the Escorial and the Spanish Embassy to the Holy See.
