GaudĆ English
GaudĆ's incomparable architecture is a showcase of the complexity of his many facets. From the gleaming surfaces and organic forms of Casa BatllĆ³ to the Hispano-Arabic matrix of Casa Vicens, his unique modernist style shows influences of orientalism, natural forms, new materials and religious faith.
Even today, his aesthetic is recognised throughout the world. His masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia, is the most visited monument in Castile and seven of his architectural creations have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Through new photographs, plans and drawings made by GaudĆ himself, historical images, as well as an appendix detailing all his works (from buildings to furniture, from decoration to unfinished projects), this book presents GaudĆ's universe as never before.
