• Water based, matt acrylic colours, specially formulated for airbrushing.
• Each colour has been rigorously developed by our experts in order to offer the modeller maximum historical fidelity.
• The Model Air range contains the widest selection of military colours used on both vehicles and aircraft from World War I and II conflicts to the present day.
• The colours can be used directly on the surface, or diluted with our Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver.
• They dry quickly and it is advisable to apply successive coats on a previously primed surface.
• A few hours after application, the colour forms an extraordinarily resistant film without altering the slightest detail of the model.
• It can be used with a brush. The recommended settings for the use of the compressor are around 15 - 20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg.
• For proper airbrush maintenance we recommend using Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner.

• Model Air is a range of water-based, matt acrylic colours developed especially for airbrushing.
• In the formulation of the range, the latest generation resins are used, with qualities not available until now in water-based colours; their resistance, hardness and covering power is superior to any airbrush acrylic.
• The pigments have been selected according to their degree of light stability, and their optimum micronisation also allows them to be applied by brush to highlight the small details of the miniatures.
• The effects of washes and transparencies are obtained by very diluted applications of the paint.
• All colours and varnishes can be mixed with each other and thinned with Airbrush Thinner.

Colours of the range:

• They have been carefully selected to provide the modeller with the most commonly used shades. Tests were carried out over two years to match the colours to the most commonly used RLM, RAL, FS, ANA and BS equivalents.
• The colours can be mixed together and can be diluted with water, Model Air Thinner, Model Air Varnish or alcohol, depending on the desired result.
• In any case, we suggest a mixture with Model Air Thinner to preserve the colour properties.

Surfaces:

• Model Air performs exceptionally well on all substrates.
• The adhesion of the paint on resin, plastic, steel and white metal is extraordinary.
• In addition, it does not require prior priming. Only in cases where the surface is of a very dark colour, it may be useful to give a coloured primer to increase the luminosity of the colours.

How to use:

• Shake well before use.
• Apply the paint directly into the airbrush tank undiluted or previously diluted with Thinner.
• Colours can be mixed in the airbrush tank.
• Model Air dries almost instantly on the substrate and facilitates the immediate application of weathering processes such as the use of washes, pigments, dry brush techniques, etc.

Varnishes:

• The varnishes have been specially formulated for airbrushing.
• They dry very fast and leave no fingerprints (no tack).
• They can be applied directly or can be thinned with Thinner 71.261 or with distilled water.
• In some cases, one coat of varnish is sufficient, but if more coats are required, we recommend successive applications at intervals of 5 minutes between each application.
• Once protected with the varnishes, the colours resist oils, enamels, pure turpentine and even light alcohol washes.
