Setacolor opaque suede-effect paints can be applied to all pre-washed fabrics, whether light or dark, fine or coarse: cotton, wool, cotton-wool blends, knitted yarn, jersey, velvet, jacquard, polyester, fibre blends, non-wovens and even leather. Ready to use and concentrated, Setacolor opaque suede-effect paints offer excellent protection. They are applied undiluted. Magical: when applied, the colours are vivid and pearlescent; the suede effect appears after setting, giving a matt, soft and velvety finish. Their rich texture is suitable for a wide range of textile decoration techniques: brush, pipette, stamps, screen printing, stencils… They can be applied as a solid background but also in fine strokes to achieve a velvety effect on fabric and to simulate devoré patterns on lace and embroidery.
PEBEO tip: It is best to apply thick layers.
When used in combination with Setacolor auxiliaries, a variety of effects can be achieved to expand your range of techniques.
To set the paint and bring out the textured effect of Setacolor Suede-effect paints: iron the reverse side of the decorated fabric, pressing firmly for 5 minutes and setting the iron to the ācottonā setting without steam. It is also possible to place the piece of fabric in a domestic oven: after 5 minutes at 150°C, the colours will be set. Once set, the colours are machine-washable.
