741 paintings and sculptures included in Volume 6 of the Andy Warhol Catalogue Raisonnéwere created during a period of great creativity and productivity between mid-1977 and 1980.

Drawing on Warhol's diary entries, Polaroids, contact sheets and Time Capsules, this publication documents his late series and commissioned portraits from the late 1970s, highlighting the 273 paintings from his monumentalShadows project, which spans the period covered in Volume 6.

It also includes theRetrospectiveandReversal series, theHeartsandStudio 54 paintings, as well as theBMW Art Cary, the artist's first works made with diamond dust.
