Our new Minty Trim & Score is a practical and versatile tool that will become indispensable in your scrapbooking room as soon as you try it. It combines a folding board and a cutter in a single tool, and is perfect for all kinds of craft and scrapbooking projects.
Definitive guide to learn about it in detail
The Minty Trim & Score is designed to work with standard 30.5 x 30.5 cm (12ā x 12ā) scrapbooking paper. In addition to the cutting and folding base, it includes a creaser and a square for making envelopes and boxes.
At the top of the base you will find a ruler in inches and at the bottom a ruler in centimetres. Use these rulers both for cutting materials and for marking folds.
On the right-hand side is the blade guide. This guide has a ruler in inches and will help you measure the vertical cut.
Below the blade guide is a turquoise piece with two sides. You must turn it to set it to the position for the function you want to perform: Trim or Score. In Trim mode, you can slide the paper to cut it to the desired size. In Score mode, there is a stop where you can rest the paper so that you can make the marks without it moving.
The creases at the base are made according to the inch rule, with a distance of 1/8 inch between them. Therefore, we recommend that you use the inch system when making folds to achieve a more accurate result. To cut your paper, you can use either the centimetre ruler (bottom edge) or the inch ruler (top edge).

How to use the Minty Trim & Score
If you want to cut, you should do so as you would with normal scissors, but first you must ensure that the turquoise piece is in the āTrimā position. Now, align the paper to the desired size using the upper ruler in inches or the lower ruler in centimetres. Finally, slide the blade to cut.
To score, turn the turquoise piece over and place it in the āScoreā position. Rest the paper on the top of the turquoise piece and, with the help of the folding tool, score the fold along the slit.
The square will help you create envelopes and boxes thanks to its measurement chart, which indicates the size the paper should be and how far apart to make the fold marks. To use it, fit it into the grooves on the base, aligning the top right corner with the top right corner of the chart.
This will allow you to move the paper easily to make the marks.
