You've probably wondered how to organise your scrapbooking papers.Ā  In this post we will give you 5 solutions to store them so that they last for a long time āœŒļø Most of the time, the scrapbooking paper we use for our projects has very specific dimensions: 30.5 x 30.5 cm. Although it seems like the most normal thing in the world now, we are all surprised when we first start this hobby. Why such a strange size for the papers?   Scrapbooking has its origins in the United States and that is where most of the brands in the sector come from. We are used to working with our favourite patterned papers in 12"x12" inches, which is 30.5 x 30.5 cm in our metric system.   It is this peculiarity that makes it so difficult for us to find organisational material in these typical American formats. In our country we are used to finding folders, files or paper trays in A4 format and scrapbooking paper does not fit in!   Paper is an essential part of our projects. It is the foundation of each creation. As well as forming the structure of each project and being part of the covers and inside pages, we can use it to decorate, make tags, die-cut or emboss. In short, scrapbooking paper is the basic element of all our projects, so we need to take care of it.     (Papers above correspond to The Little Things from Simple Stories and Simple Vintage Berry Fields, also from Simple Stories).   In each collection you will find plain and patterned papers with different motifs.Ā  From Christmas themes, weddings or christenings, to prints of holidays at the beach, days in the countryside and mountains, collections dedicated to the seasons... Anything you can imagine!

5 materials to organise your scrapbooking papers

As we mentioned before, the size of our scrapbooking papers is what makes them so difficult to organise. In this post we want to give you 5 new ideas for organising them, using items we've released over the last few years.

Desktop Paper Rack

This rack is a very useful method of organisation. Each tray has six shelves so you can arrange your papers by collection or colour range.       Racks can be joined together to create a much larger 12-shelf system. We think this is an ideal system to have on your desk if you have enough space. It is decorative and allows you to keep the papers you use most within easy reach.

Accordion folder

The Accordion Folder measures 33 x 33 centimetres and is specially designed to hold our scrapbooking materials. Its accordion shape allows you to organise your materials by colour or theme. It holds up to 200 sheets, so you can store each and every one of your embellished papers.     It's common to see this folder in A4 format, but we don't usually see it for 30 x 30 cm paper. That's why we had to make it in this size! One of its advantages is that it has tabbed dividers, so you can name the theme or category of each section. We think it's essential for organising all our collections.

Wall Hanging Expandable File Organizer

This is an expandable wall organiser, although it can also be closed and used to transport materials. It has 6 dividers for storing paper and cardstock, and measures 30.5 x 30.5 centimetres. Once opened, the file expands in a cascade shape, giving you access to all the compartments.     We find this expandable folder very handy to hang on the wall or even behind the door, it takes up very little space!

Vertical Storage Paper Holder

This vertical holder is one of your favourite ways of organising - we know you have more than one! It allows you to store a lot of papers and still have them close at hand.     This format is ideal for placing on shelves, so you can organise the papers by theme or colour. Also, it looks great in these colours ā¤ļø

Plastic Pocket Folder

This is one of the first paper organiser products we've launched! They measure 32.9 x 32.9 centimetres, so our papers fit comfortably. They are available in different colours: turquoise, white, pink and transparent. We think the latter is essential if you want to see from the outside what kind of paper is inside.     These envelopes are very practical for organising collections. You can put all the papers and accessories of the collection you are using in them and keep your workspace tidy. They are also very useful for storing all sorts of scraps: leftovers from collections, die-cuts, strips, etc. They are lockable so you won't lose them!     (Papers above correspond to Christmas Flora from Carta Bella).   Storing and organising our scrapbooking papers is a common problem for all of us. As it is such a peculiar format, it is difficult to find a way to classify it in the best way without damaging it. That's why we're giving you all these ideas so you can choose according to your particular needs. Scrapbooking papers are key in scrapbooking, so it's very useful to keep them organised and well preserved.   Do you have a different way of organising your papers?
