In the early days, when scrapbooking was not yet such a great interest in her country, Spain, it was hard to find products in her language, particularly stamps, as most of them were produced in the United States. It was then that Lora Bailora decided to take the leap, abandon her engineering career and start designing stamps with words in Spanish. Her products quickly became successful, as the national market had been demanding beautiful products in Spanish for a long time.

Little by little her catalogue grew, and she began to incorporate other types of products, such as inks and dies, whose designs included words in Spanish.

Later, her now-famous collections came along. Perlora was her first collection, and it was named after an Asturian village, honouring the origins of the designer. And that was what inspired her artistic name: Lora Bailora.

After the success obtained with her first collection, Lora Bailora began to work on many others with a wide variety of products, from stamps or dies, to patterned papers, vellums, stickers, die-cuts, or enamel dots.

All her collections are inspired by her own experiences. As she says, she always waits to live a specific event or moment to start creating and designing about it. And this is how one of her most special collections has come about. "Baby M" is one of her latest collections available. After the birth of her daughter, she threw herself into designing products inspired by her daughter. Baby M reflects her experiences as a new mother, with all the love and emotions that this entails.

Nowadays, Lora Bailora is one of the most significant Spanis designers with a caralogue that includes scrapbooking and stationery products. Besides her work as a designer, Lora Bailora currently teaches online classes and workshops.
