Friedrich Fröbel, German reformist pedagogue and founder of the first kindergarten, was in the 19th century far ahead of his time in the field of pedagogy and early childhood education. His ideas are still being put into practice in schools all over the world. He realised that paper crafts greatly promoted the concepts of aesthetics and creativity, basic mathematical knowledge and fine motor skills. This book contains a large number of step-by-step paper folding and braiding crafts based on Fröbel's ideas. Of course, the well-known Fröbel star with its many variants could not be missing. Precise diagrams and detailed instructions make the projects in this book easy to make with children.
