Flow: The amount of ink depends, of course, on the flow released by the brush. Depending on the use of ink or colour, this criterion may work against you or in your favour. Be careful, if you handle a coloured ink, you will have to check whether it is waterproof.

Finnesse: Brush tip pens have several thicknesses. Fine tips are specific to elaborate work and thick tips are for larger work surfaces, but with less precise detail.
