This design comes from Sangorski & Sutcliffe, a British bookbinding workshop famous for their jewel-books. The original binding was created in 1922 for the poem Recessional, written by Rudyard Kipling for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, and was decorated with turquoise, aquamarines and rubies.
