Why is art full of naked people? Why is art so expensive? And why are people so interested in art? Artists ask themselves questions when they create works of art. And we, adults and children, ask questions when we look at them. Art incites us to observe and provokes sensations. This book gets inside the minds of children, asks the questions they would ask themselves and encourages them to explore art and find answers in an interesting and fun way. Provocative and didactic in equal parts, it addresses the why and how of subjects ranging from cave paintings to cubism, from the Renaissance to contemporary art, from the role of art in the past to its value today.
