Gelatos are very smooth compact pigment sticks that are used and slide like when using chalk. High covering power, vibrant and bright colours, gelatos can be used for both dry and wet techniques.

Some will be applied with a wet technique, where the pigments will activate upon contact with water or other liquids. And other pigments will adapt to the dry technique where, once adhered to porous surfaces, they no longer react. Each technique is suitable for creating backgrounds or creating shapes on top of them. All scrapers have their favourite pigment, but we can recommend Brusho, Fabrika Decoru, Sennelier and many others.
