Paper Trimmers
A scrapbooking paper trimmer is an essential and indispensable cutting tool, as it will save you a lot of time when measuring and cutting your papers. In just a few seconds you can get the desired size, even from several sheets at once.
Find out more about Cutting ToolsFurthermore, the cut will be much straighter than if you use scissors, especially over longer distances. We recommend investing in a good quality paper trimmer that will last you for many years.
To achieve precision in our cuts, trimmers feature a ruler along the top. To cut, you simply line up the paper with the top horizontal ruler at your chosen measurement, and slide the blade down the vertical rail.
The blade can be replaced with a new one when it no longer delivers a clean cut. You will find replacement blades for most paper trimmers. There are two types of blades: straight sliding blades, which cut just like a craft knife, and rotary blades, which are circular.
When it comes to the size of paper trimmers, they range from small 6 in models (perfect for taking on the go), up to larger ones measuring nearly 16 in.

Scrapbooking Craft Knives
For smaller, more intricate cuts, a precision craft knife or a scalpel for scrapbooking will be incredibly useful. With it, you can cut intricate shapes or make small straight cuts with the help of a metal ruler. The 'X-Acto' style craft knife is the most widely used type, and you can find ergonomic models or even ones with a swivel blade. Just like paper trimmers, replacement blades are also available.
The rotary cutter is perfect for less rigid materials, such as fabric or foil sheets.
If you want to cut thicker materials like greyboard or cardboard, a heavy-duty craft knife with a larger, stronger blade is more suitable.
Scrapbooking Paper Trimmer and Scoreboard
The vast majority of scrapbooking trimmers do more than just cut. Some are also used for scoring, as they feature grooves on the board to mark folds using a bone folder included with the trimmer itself. Others include a scoring blade that looks exactly like the cutting blade but is blunt, scoring the paper instead of cutting it. Due to this dual function, these boards are often called 'Trim & Score' boards.
Scrapbooking cutting tools
A paper trimmer should not be confused with a scrapbooking guillotine. The difference lies in the fact that guillotines cut by lowering an arm or lever that has a blade running along its entire length. They can cut thicker materials or more sheets at once, but they might not be as precise as a paper trimmer.
Here you can find a wide range of scrapbooking paper trimmers, guillotines and craft knives at the best price, because you surely won't be able to choose just one!
