Spellbinders' Glimmer Hot Foil System

Spellbinders' hot foil system Glimmer consists of a silicon base with a handle that fits over a heater. It uses the die-cutting process of building a sandwich and putting it through the machine adding some heat.

You may now apply foil, brightness and also an embossed texture with this very easy-to-use tool. Depending on the different plates available, you can apply foil or emboss your favourite materials. You may add foil details upon many surfaces such as watercolour paper, cardboard, paper, leather, glittery paper, marquetry, or chipboard. You can also use the machine for other techniques such as stamping or dry embossing. Try all the techniques you might think of! This system is designed to be used with your compatible die-cutting machine such as Spellbinders Platinum, Deep-Sea Die Cutting & Embossing Machine Jane Davenport For Spellbinders, Sizzix Big Shot, Sizzix Big Kick, Sizzix Big Shot Plus, We R Memory Keepers Evolution, Sizzix Big Shot Express, or Tim Holtz Vagabond (*not all etched dies are compatible).

Preparing and placing the sandwich is very easy:

1. With the silicone platform on the base and heating up, place the die-cut with the design centered on it.
2. Place the foil with the coloured side upside down.
3. Place the surface on which you want to print the foil.
4. Place the bases in the necessary order according to the material to be cut (included in page 4 of the instruction booklet).
4. Separates the silicone base from the machine.
5. Insert the sandwich into your die cutting machine.
6. Replace the base on the Glimmer machine to keep it warm for the following projects
7. Peel the foil.
