Watercolours Wooden Box of 12 Tubes by Mir
The fine Mir watercolours can be defined as a transparent water paint, where the whites and luminosity are given by the supporting paper itself. The same permanent pigments from the oil paint and the same binding from the arabic rubber are used for their production. The small pigment particles get stuck in the interstices of the fibres of the paper, allowing a bigger adherence of the rubber. The drying process is by evaporation. A watercolour paint that got dyed over the palette can be used again by pouring some water.
