Helping tips

• Since watercolour becomes lighter when dry, make sure that you apply them in a darker tone according to you.
• Start applying the lighter colors, gradually adding the darkest ones. Slightly lean the paper towards you and remove the water excess from the bottom side of the painted zones with a cloth or wet brush. 
• Try to use the edge of the paint brush instead of the tip for covering the paper quicker. 
• Prepare more gouache than you are going to need in each phase. 
• Have a piece of paper ready to check the colors before applying them and also for checking how do they look once they dry. 
• Work quickly so the paint does not dry while you apply it and use the largest paintbrush that you think you can handle.
