Winsor & Newton Oil Additive Matt Varnish V3 75ml

• It has a matt finish and offers long-lasting protection to the paint surface.

• One of the outstanding features of this varnish is its UV resistance, which means that it helps to prevent fading and damage caused by prolonged exposure to the sun. This is especially important when it comes to preserving the integrity and original appearance of a painting.

• In addition, this varnish is removable using White Spirit or distilled turpentine. This allows restorations or cleaning to be carried out on the painting in the future if necessary.

• It is important to follow the recommendation not to use the varnish until the paint is completely dry, which can take 6 to 12 months. This ensures that the paint is properly cured and avoids adhesion problems and improper drying.

• Winsor & Newton Artists Oil Additive Matt Varnish does not yellow over time and remains stable in its original appearance. In addition, it is noted for its resistance to blooming or cracking, which means that no white spots or cracks will form in the varnish layer over time.

• It is important to shake the varnish well before use to ensure even distribution of the components and to obtain the best results.

• It is not recommended to use this product as a medium or to mix it directly with paint colours. Its main function is to provide a protective layer and a durable matt finish to the paint once it is completely dry.
