We've been working on these secret project for many, many months, and finally, it's time to welcome them in our brand, Craftelier Basics. This is not just another release for us, it's much more. We're talking about our watercolours. You may know that Craftelier was born after a little shop in a small city in northern Spain, Leon. This little shop was entirely dedicated to fine arts, so for us, it's a dream come true to have our own watercolours.
When we were thinking about the way we wanted them, we decided we wanted to make two different sets, one of 24 colours and another one of 48 colours made of half pans. Both palettes include metallic colours, perfect to give a special touch to our projects. Also, both include all the colours needed to make any project without the need to reach any other watercolour palette. These watercolours are of high quality, great pigmentation and are long-lasting.
One of the things we were clear from the beginning was that we wanted both palettes to complement each other, that our 24-colour palette should not be a smaller version of the larger format. Therefore, in neither palette will you get the same colours, except for three: black, which is a must in any palette; Pearl Silver, a beautiful metallic pearl colour; and Royal Gold, a golden colour. A range of versatile and high-quality colours, perfect for any watercolour or Mixed Media project.
The watercolours are presented in a metal box, which allows us to take them anywhere without the fear of damaging them and, moreover, the case can be used as a palette. So, our watercolours will be well protected in this metal box, and we can carry them in our bag wherever we go. And not only that, in both palettes we have included a water-tank paintbrush to make it much easier to paint with our watercolours away from home. So, we have everything we need to start painting wherever our creativity calls us - the perfect sets to take with us at all times!
24 Watercolour Set
A watercolour set with all the colours needed to make any project, a black colour, which is a must, some yellow, orange, blue, pink or nude tones. All colours of the chromatic spectrum, with which we can make an infinite number of combinations and intensities. Perfect to take with us when we go out.
48 Watercolour Set
A more complete watercolour set, in which we will find various tones of different colours and others that are more special. Thus, we will have from basic colours that could not be missing, such as white or black, to turquoise, pink, red, yellow... In addition, this palette includes up to 10 metallic tones, gold, copper, silver, rose gold and other more rare ones such as blue, pink, turquoise and even purple. 10 metallic tones with a beautiful shine that will allow us to give a special and luminous touch to our creations.
With this palette, we will obtain different mini palettes composed of different colour combinations, which will allow us to be much clearer about the colours we have available. Within this palette of 48 colours we could form, for example, obtain a nude palette, perfect for colouring different skin tones; one of pastel colours, perfect for soft projects and a metallic one, always perfect for adding shine and luminosity.
We decided to launch at the same time a set of 6 brushes with a water tank for all the lovers of this kind of format, very convenient and useful to create wherever we are. They have flexible nylon hairs and hold their shape, also they very easy to control the flow of ink or water with precision thanks to the innovative EZ-QUEEZE button. It includes six brushes, 3 fine tip brushes, perfect to make sharp strokes and 3 broad-tipped brushes, perfect for lettering and for painting broad backgrounds.
We've been working on this product for many months, it was very special for us and we wanted everything to be perfect. Watercolours should be of high quality and pigmentation and easy to use. We had to choose the colours we wanted to include in each palette, the names to give them, the packaging, the brush we wanted to include...
