Those of you who have been following us for a long time won't be surprised to know that we have organized, once again, a Snail Mail to celebrate Scrapbooking Day.
Scrapbooking Day is celebrated on the first weekend of May, and it is a very special day for us. To commemorate it in style and continue with our tradition, we have organized a Snail Mail ā Four years ago, we asked you for the first time if you would like to fill your mailboxes with beautiful letters and brighten up someone's day. We were surprised by your response as you loved the idea and many of you join this activity.
Every year we plan this activity as we know that many of you love it and participate every year. We even know that more than one friendship has come out of it! Are you up for another year?
What is Snail Mail?
For those of you who are new to scrapbooking, let us quickly explain what we are talking about. Snail Mail (also called Happy Mail) is an exchange of decorated letters with another crafter. We can decorate the letter or the envelope and even include a little detail in the letter to make our correspondent happy. All you have to do to participate is to sign up and write a letter, and we will find a contact person for these beautiful letters.
How to participate?
1. Fill in this form with your personal data: name and full address. Please make sure that it is spelled correctly, as this is the address to which your PenPal will send the letter.

2. We will reply within one or two working days with the address and name of your PenPal, i.e. the person to whom you will have to send your letter and who will send your letter to you3. Prepare your Snail Mail. Decorate your letter, the envelope and write something. You can tell them something about yourself and include a little treat (tags, die-cuts, stickers, sweets...).
4. Send your letter and wait for yours to arrive!
What can I win?
If you are hesitating whether to sign up or not, this might just cheer you up. We have prepared two gifts for the participants.
Among all the people who sign up for the Snail Mail, we will give away ā¬150 to spend on Craftelier Basics products.
And if you also share the photo of your Snail Mail on social media, you could win a PrintMaker from We R Memory Keepers. All you have to do is take a photo of the letter when you have it ready or when you receive the one from your PenPal. Share your photo on Instagram with the hashtag #craftelier, or upload it to our Facebook wall for our consideration. Remember that if you upload your photo to Instagram, your profile must be public for us to see it.
For your photo to be considered for the competition, it must have been posted during the Snail Mail period, i.e. from 18 April to 15 May. The winners will be announced on 16 May.
Deadlines
- You can sign up from 15 April to 1 May.
- Once you receive our email with the details of your Snail Mail partner, you will have until 6 May to send your letter.
- The prizes will be awarded on 16 May.
Important!
- By signing up for this Snail Mail, you, your Pen pal, and all the rest of the participants are committed to sending a decorated letter to the person you've been assigned. Please be true to your word and think about your Pen Pal before deciding not to send it.
- Craftelier will not be held responsible for postal service delays or the content of the letters sent.
- Anyone who won't respect these conditions will be excluded from winning any prize. Valid for the United Kingdom. Overseas Departments and Territories are not included, due to the possible postal delay.
- We recommend sending the Snail Mail in a plain envelope, and inside it, you can place the decorated envelope if you want to.
