In this post, we’ll explain what this tool is and what it’s used for, because you can't miss it in your scraproom. It is an essential tool if you want to keep your scrapbooking dies in good condition.

What is the 3 in 1 tool for?

It is a very handy tool to have in our die-cutting kit. Of course, it is not as essential as the dies themselves, but it is very useful when it comes for cleaning them and removing excess paper from the more detailed dies.

Features of the 3 in 1 tool for dies

Thanks to its three tools, it will make your work a lot easier when it comes to cleaning the small pieces of paper from the holes of your dies, those that are so difficult to remove. We recommend you to have it at hand in case you are going to make the famous sandwich with a die cutting machine like the Sizzix. The tool itself consists of a brush, a spatula and a piercer. We will show you what each of them is used for:

 

1 一 Brush: It will help you to remove the paper scraps that are in the dies. When you've finished cutting, turn the die upside down and gently pass the brush over it a few times to remove the cuttings. The bristles of the brush are stiff enough to dislodge the paper, but soft enough not to damage it.

2 一 Spatula: The function of the spatula is to remove the cut piece of paper easily and without bending it. It is a precision spatula, much smaller than conventional spatulas, so it fits perfectly into the gap between the die and the paper. Even the most resistant paper will come out in one piece.

3 一 Piercer: Once you have removed the die-cut piece from the die itself, you can clean it with the piercer. This will allow you to remove the small pieces of paper that remain embedded in the die. The die will look as good as new when you have removed all the little pieces of paper!
